Ostomy Canada Society is pleased to announce the 8th annual Canada Ostomy Day on October 3, 2020.
The purpose of the Canada Ostomy Day is to raise awareness of the estimated 135,000 people living in Canada with an ostomy.
Many chapters and peer support groups across Canada will join in the Stoma Stroll Awareness Walk, see our website www.stomastroll.ca for more information. We invite cities across Canada to proclaim October 3, 2020, as Canada Ostomy Day.
Purpose of the Walk
Ostomy Canada Society Inc. is a nationally registered Canadian charity (Charitable Reg. No: 119277093RR0001). The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness and funds in support of our mission. We do not receive government funding and rely on your efforts and support from our donors to fulfill our mission. The walk will also serve to create a sense of community and support for people living with an ostomy and their families in your region. In this respect, the walk is of immeasurable value.
