I am the research co-ordinator and therapist for a Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and York University study that is currently seeking research participants. The purpose of the study is to evaluate a two session online program to support patients and their partners in their sexual and intimate readjustment with an ostomy after colorectal cancer. We are very hopeful about the benefits of this program and have received positive feedback thus far from patients and partners. Our aim is to better integrate supportive resources for sexuality into standard oncology care. Participation is free and open to couples across Ontario who meet the eligibility criteria.

I would greatly appreciate if you could please share our study information with your clients/patients and your professional networks. I have attached our study flyer that provides further details and I welcome you to share the flyer widely through community postings and social media. We also have a Sunnybrook webpage and facebook page where you can direct interested individuals (see links below).

This study has ethics approval by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and York University (ID: 352-2016). It is also a registered trial on ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT number: NCT03526952).

Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information, I would be happy to answer any questions.
