Topic: Ostomy 101: Everything you Need to Know about Ostomies and Pelvic Pouches

Summary: Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is pleased to offer an educational webinar on ostomies and pelvic pouches presented by leading expert Louise Forest-Lalande.

Louise worked at the CHU Sainte-Justine, a mother-and-child university health centre, as an Enterostomal therapy nurse from 1985 to 2011. In 1992, she completed a Master’s degree at the University of Montreal in Adult Education. Louise is a lecturer at the University of Montreal and in several universities and hospitals in China. She has published many papers on Pediatric ET nursing and presented about her specialty in many countries. Louise has served on regional, national and international boards, and served as President of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET) from June 2010 to June 2014. Retired form her hospital work, she continues her teaching and lecturing activities, and collaborates with Wound Care and Enterostomal Therapy Nursing organisations. Louise is presently writing a book about pediatric ET Nursing.
