Leslie Heath is a Certified Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence, who has practiced in both community and acute care centers since 2009. She also completed her Masters of Clinical Science in Wound Healing, University of Western Ontario in 2012.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, at Toronto General Hospital, she provides consultation and treatment recommendations, education and advocacy for patient with Wounds or Ostomies. Her role also entails providing leadership, mentoring, and provision of education to patients and staff, as well as program development, quality care monitoring and participation in research.

As both an Adjunct Lecturer at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto, and a Clinical Faculty member for the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Institute’s Education Program, she combines clinical expertise and a passion for teaching to provide mentorship to students.

Leslie has also participated in the development of the University of Toronto Best Practice Guidelines in Surgery in 2018. She has previously been a Medical Advisor on the board for Ostomy Toronto, and remains actively involved with her professional organization Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Canada.
