Where to find support

Hi.   I live in Lions Head Ontario.    Anything close to me?

Thank you for your question.

Please see the following link for  Ostomy Canada chapters and peer support groups.

You may find a group close to you.  Or please contact the closest group and they have trained visitors who you can chat with by phone or email.

Another avenue to find others with an ostomy is to contact your local or closest NSWOC nurse. They may have a list of people living with an ostomy who are willing to meet.   Please follow this link to find a NSWOC nurse in your area:

Ostomy Canada also has a very active Facebook page.

I hope some of these resources are helpful to you.

Remember you are not alone.

Our friends over at Nurses Specialized In Wound, Ostomy And Continence Canada [NSWOCC] (formerly called The Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy (CAET)) have renamed their handy look-up page on their website. It was formerly called “Find An ET Nurse” and is now called “Find a NSWOC“. Click on the image to the left or link here to go to their site.
