Partnerships - What and Why?

As defined in Wikipedia – A “partnership” is an arrangement where parties, known as business partners, agree to cooperate to advance their mutual interests. The partners in a partnership may be individuals, businesses, interest-based organizations, schools, governments or combinations. Organizations may partner to increase the likelihood of each achieving their mission and to amplify their reach. For Ostomy Canada Society (OCS) we support the above framework as our mission is to support those living with an ostomy…. helping them live life to the fullest through advocacy, awareness, collaboration and support. A few things to consider:

A partnership with OCS does not mean we endorse one set of products, manufacturers, appliances, retailers over another.
We do not offer exclusivity but do offer sponsorship levels (Step Up for Ostomy and other areas) at various levels of investment and ROI
Individuals with ostomies are supported by professional medical intervention (doctors, care givers, NSWOCs, etc.) they are free to decide which best resources they need.
We leverage a number of companies in offering website content, Magazine or newsletter materials and webinar support. OCS looks at these area as part of our collaborative mandate to support our Mission.
Some partnerships are based on shared missions and mutual association support, whereas others are industry or business partnerships
